17 Pregnant Candidates Sit Uneb Exams as Board Pledges Support for Expectant and Breastfeeding Mothers

According to Une Principal Public Relations Officer Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, the pregnant candidates were identified in the districts of Pallisa, Busia, and Koboko, while three breastfeeding mothers also sat their exams in Koboko District.

The Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) has recorded 17 pregnant candidates sitting this year’s Senior Four examinations, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that all learners, including expectant and breastfeeding mothers, complete their exams without challenges.

According to Une Principal Public Relations Officer Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, the pregnant candidates were identified in the districts of Pallisa, Busia, and Koboko, while three breastfeeding mothers also sat their exams in Koboko District.

Kalule-Musamba said Uneb continues to give special attention to such cases to guarantee that no candidate misses their examinations due to health or physical conditions.

“Those who experience complications are attended to immediately, and where necessary, we extend the extra 45 minutes provided to candidates with special needs,” she explained.
